We are now welcoming teachers and families back to the studio with limited space for in-person lessons as each feels comfortable. Online lessons and classes will continue to be an option as well. We have several measures in place to protect the safety of everyone at the school, all of which are strictly enforced.
* We ask our students and their family members to refrain from attending in-person lessons if they are sick or showing any symptoms that are linked to the COVID-19 virus. Similarly, anyone considered high risk such as seniors, people with serious medical conditions, or those living with vulnerable individuals should stay home.
Masks are required for everyone—teachers, students, and parents—who are in a common space or an in-person lesson.
Windows and studio door will be kept open for fresh air flow.
Most our lessons will be conducted in our newly renovated lesson rooms where they can easily accommodate a 6-foot distance between teacher and student. Smaller lesson rooms will have a divider between teacher and student.
Piano room have been arranged with two pianos or keyboards side by side, so teacher and student will not need to share a keyboard. The student’s keyboard will be disinfected between each lesson.
Students and teachers are required to wash/sanitize before each lesson. Hand sanitizer, soap, and disinfectant are available in common spaces and lesson rooms. Common surfaces will be frequently disinfected.
Each student needs to remember to bring their own instruments(except piano and drum).
We ask family members of students remain waiting in their vehicles instead of waiting area during their lesson visit unless adult supervision is needed for younger students (preschool and early elementary). Please limit one adult to accompany younger students into the studio. All students should wait in their vehicle until closer to their lesson start time. We ask everyone to practice social distances of six feet while entering studio and waiting room in accordance with city guidelines.
Our vocal, flute and trumpet lessons will remain online for the foreseeable future. Over the past few months our instructors have developed effective methods of online instruction and material presentation that make us confident our students can continue to progress and grow while keeping themselves and others safe.
We are monitoring the situation daily and will continue to take the recommended steps as suggested by the local governments. Please refer to our website for the latest update. Be assured that we will reach out to our staff, students, and their family members immediately if the status of our operation changes.
